Jitendra Joshi
Jitendra Joshi was the first mayor of Ahmedabad. Jitendra Joshi was born on March 12, 1866 at Bhavnagar, Gujarat. The Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation was founded by Britishers in 1902. He was elected as the first mayor of Ahmedabad for a term of four years in 1903. He died on July 4, 1940.[1][2]
